Article: Leader Dog check and Motor City Corvette Concours license plate presentations

March 7, 2017

At our Feb. 7, 2017 meeting, two significant presentations were made. 2016 was a great year for donations made by the club and its members. A check for $11,200 was presented to the Leader Dog President and CEO, Susan Daniels, by Tom Hoenle. Susan shared with the members that we have been supporting Leader Dogs for the Blind since 1982 and have raised over $210,000 in donations since that time.

The club has also been a sponsoring and supporting club of the Annual Motor City Corvette Concours show. Tom presented the Ceramic License Plates given to Concours class invitees to our club's participants. For the 2016 event, two club members, Robert J. for his red C-6 427 convertible and Dennis and Lolitta S. for their yellow C-4 Coupe (winner of the C-3/4 class) received their plates. Also, a plate was presented to friends of the club, Herman and Jude Z., for their beautiful orange C-1 convertible (winner of the C-1/2 class) which they have owned for over forty years. Congratulations to everyone.
