Article: (L) Silent Auction

March 24, 2021

The 2019 Corvette Fest Silent auction was a resounding success. Thanks to the generosity of the bidders and the donors we raised over $5,000.00 for Leader Dogs. In 2020, due to the COVID pandemic, a couple online auctions were held with items that were donated by businesses and club members. Over $10,000 was raised with our "Fill the Tank" campaign and much of this came from the Online Auctions.

Donated items help us add fun and excitement to the Corvette Fest; we use some donated items as door prizes for the Show participants while the others, we sell at the Silent Auction.

Personnel from Leader Dogs for the Blind collect and issue receipts for all moneys from the Silent Auction at the Show. Therefore, all the proceeds from the Silent Auction go directly to Leader Dogs for the Blind.

We are planning on having a broad selection of items of interest to the Guys and the Gals. We hope to have a range of Corvette and Camaro themed man-cave items, books, maintenance items and garage equipment as well as gift baskets and gift cards which are perfect as a hostess gift or to treat yourself. We believe that our master craftsman, Jimmy O, may have yet another of his unique automobile themed lamps squirreled away that was intended for 2020 Corvette Fest.

In the past, we have also had a small selection of Corvette and Camaro themed artwork, sunglasses, grilling aprons and equipment, tote bags, automotive themed blankets and apparel, model cars, sports items an assortment of gift cards from local merchants and more.

We will have the complete list of the 2021 Silent Auction Offerings available on our web site no later than August 28th. Please check back and plan your shopping.

Remember Leader Dogs will be on site to collect and receipt all the Silent Auction proceeds.

Individuals, Businesses and our Members all donate the items we offer for sale at Corvette Fest. The GMC Corvette Set appreciates this support.
